Surprise!!!

This past weekend I had fall break and was able to go home and spend time with my family. I needed that break more than anything, especially after going through three straight weeks of midterms! I bought a little something the Sunday before, and decided to bring it (her) home with me to surprise my family. This was a BIG surprise, because I bought a puppy. 

She is the cutest thing in the world! I probably didn't go about the best way introducing her, but I'm glad that they warmed up to her after the shocking effect it had. My puppy's name is Penelope (Penny for short), and she is the best present I have ever bought myself! She is the biggest stress reliever I have, and has the cutest personality. Even though she wakes me up every morning between 6 and 7, I love her to death. She is very smart, and was potty trained in about 4 days. She already knows how to sit, and is learning other tricks. She loves to snuggle, and thinks she is huge (she is only 4 pounds). She runs up to other dogs, like great danes and rottweilers, thinking that she can take them. It's adorable.

Even though she is a lot of work, she is worth it. Every morning when she wakes me up and I walk her downstairs, I get to talk to God and start off my day in praise of what He has created around me, and thanks for what He has blessed me with. I am even more grateful for the sacrifices my parents make for me, daily, allowing me to go to the school I am at, live where I do, be able to drive down every other weekend to see them, and for the encouragement they are in my life! I wouldn't be able to make it any day without knowing that I have their love and support backing me up in everything that I do. I don't think they realize the impact they have made in me, causing me to study harder, pursue my dreams, and set goals in my life that I know they, and God, will be proud of.

I have the greatest family in the world!!! I am truly blessed! :c)
